How long have you been blogging?
Coming up to 2 years but I only really started to push it to the beginning of 2016.
Why did you decide to start your blog?
I first started the blog with a friend as a means of doing something creative. We were both meeting up for food a lot and taking photos anyway, blogging about it became a natural progression for us to share our opinions with everyone. When she left to do a PhD, I continued blogging, sometimes with my guests adding their opinion too.
What do you hope to achieve for your blog in 2017?
I would like to see it grow with more reviews and interviews from local traders. I think it's interesting speaking to people who are passionate about food and have grown a business from it. I am looking into perhaps monetising from my blog but if not, definitely looking into working with more food-related brands.
What is your favourite social media channel & why?
I like twitter at the moment as that's where I speak to other bloggers and my readers the most. I am slowly getting into Storify on Instagram.
Who is your blogging inspiration?
I really like Victoria Magrath from Inthefrow. I started following her when she was in Manchester and I genuinely feel she's a nice person. I also really like Jessica and James from Food & Baker who do a similar thing to me but in London. They also run a fortnightly twitter chat #hungrychats.
What is the one piece of advice you’d give other bloggers & aspiring bloggers?
Do it because you enjoy it. Don't be afraid of connecting with blogger communities as everyone I have met so far has been really nice and supportive. Don't be afraid of turning up to blogger events by yourself, if you are, feel free to give me a heads up and I'll try to find you!
Fun/Random fact about you:
I'm Irish and Hong Kong Chinese. I also like tea and cakes!
