So what is WeBlogNorth then?
WeBlogNorth (formerly WeBlogMCR) is a collective of bloggers, vloggers and social influencers in the North of England. We're here to support, champion and connect all of you amazing content creators. We do this through an online subscription, that is less than the cost of a cup of coffee per month, a private members collaboration group and a series of meet-ups, events and workshops, including our new annual event - The Northern Blog Awards.
We pride ourselves on being friendly, approachable and inclusive, with our ethos being to - INSPIRE, EDUCATE AND COLLABORATE. All of this, within an amazing community of like-minded people.
We want to put Northern content creators on the map and partner with brands and agencies to bring some awesome activities up here to the North. The more of us that there are, the more that brands will bring to us!
We are based in Manchester, so the majority of our events are currently here in the city centre, but we are spreading our wings throughout the North, so will be coming to a city near you very soon!We like to meet you face-to-face, as we like to make friends and think the strongest collaborations come from friendships! BUT, if you can't make the events, that's ok too - that's why we've got the online subscription. Soon, there'll be a wealth of resources available to you and of course you'll have direct access to the private community online anyway.
Who am I?
I'm Holly Wood, a blogger at HollyGoesLightly.co.uk and a recent vlogger too. I founded WeBlogMCR and now WeBlogNorth, along with The Northern Blog Awards as I feel passionately about growing this Northern community of content creators and championing the scene we have up here! It's not all about London after all 😉
I'm a blogger and I've taken the steps to take my hobby from just that, to part of my full-time career. I'm a mum and I now run my own business, based around blogging and content creation. I'm still learning all the time and this is why a network like WeBlogNorth is so important: because we can inspire each other, educate each other and collaborate with each other, to make our content even more amazing!
That's what it's all about.
So I'm the friendly face you'll see at our events, welcoming you and making sure you're looked-after. I'm the one behind the tweets, the insta-posts and the blogs. I'm the one that listens to what you guys want and tries to bring it to you!
