A catch up on our YouTube SEO webinar - main points and takeaways, replay of the webinar and helpful links.
Yesterday, Holly and I hosted our first ever Facebook Live Webinar to chat all things YouTube - how to get more views, grow your channel and setup your videos so your subscribers wanna click! For anyone who missed it, here are the key points and recap for you to go through.

Re-cap - the 3 most important areas of YouTube SEO (well, there's more, but this is a good start!)
- Titles - Keep them intriguing, descriptive and use your keywords (after Tube Buddy research!) - avoid anything too generic like 'weekly vlog' or 'travel vlog', instead opt for a specific keyword phrase e.g. 'Exploring Tokyo, Japan in Cherry Blossom Season'
- Thumbnails - So important! Spend a good amount of time making them eye-catching, bold and clear. Think colour, large text and emotive imagery or screen grabs from the video.
- Tags - This will help your videos rank in search, which is what we're aiming for! Use TubeBuddy's Search Explorer tool (linked below) to find a tag that is ranked 'very good' - this means it's not too saturated (aka competitive) and searched enough that you have a chance of ranking when people type that in! Avoid tags that are coming up 'poor' - this means they're too generic or people are already ranking for that video - basically, TubeBuddy is telling you not to waste your tags using this one!
Think of the keyword phrases people will be typing in for your video. Use the top scored one as your title, then re-work the sentence to cover all bases (e.g. 'cherry blossom season japan travel vlog' 'tokyo cherry blossom travel vlog' - you get the idea!)
