Diary blocking is a must! Every Friday I reflect on my previous week and then plan my week ahead.
How long have you been creating content?
For about 18 months!
Why did you decide to start your blog/vlog?
I decided to finally take the leap from the exciting world as a Chartered Accountant and knew that I wanted to pursue my passion for wellness. Mental, physical and emotional wellness - I am passionate about them all! I starting blogging as a way to get my ideas and passions down on paper…this was well before I had taken the plunge and started my business, The Vibrancy Hub!
Do you see this becoming a career or part of your career?
Yes - when I left the corporate world, I knew I wanted to make “wellness” my full-time career but I just wasn’t sure of the direction I exactly wanted to take. Blogging really helped me to explore different topics within the very broad world of wellness and the business has evolved on the back of that. We now have a team of wellness experts and we offer programmes and life coaching to individuals as well as corporate wellness coaching and consultancy!
What do you hope to achieve for your content in 2018 and what’s your big-picture goal?
What is your favourite social media channel & why?
Instagram and LinkedIn are my faves - I tend to use Insta to get out the messages and thoughts around wellness that are really close to my heart and then Linked In to share interesting and thought-provoking articles and content more around wellness in the workplace.
What is your favourite tool or app that helps with your content creation?
Who is your blogging/vlogging/content inspiration and why?
I love Marie Forleo - her very short videos on personal development are amazing! One of the things I am working on within myself is to be more succinct in my message delivery and she does it so well whilst still showing her (hilarious) personality!
What do you like to do on weekends? Where can we find you hanging out?
If you could go anywhere in the world or experience any one thing, what would it be?
I have such a long travel bucket list - there is not one thing in particular, I just would like to visit as many places around the globe as possible, see as many things, meet lots of people and experience as many different perspectives as possible.
What're your tips for staying motivated and/or organised in your work?
Diary blocking is a must! Every Friday I reflect on my previous week and then plan my week ahead! I never go into a week blind or disorganised as I end up going round in circles and stressing myself out! I’m pretty disciplined with my time! I even schedule in time on social media and my alarm goes off when it’s time to move away from my screen! Otherwise, I end up down a flipping rabbit hole!
What is the one piece of advice you’d give other content creators & aspiring bloggers/vloggers?
Fun/Random fact about you (go on, surprise us!):
I played Rounders for England when I was 18! I mean rounders?! What kind of sport is that anyway?!
