Try to answer questions with your content or write about relatable situations.
How long have you been blogging/vlogging/creating content?
Since 2011 - but this blog since 2013.
Why did you decide to start your blog/vlog?
Mainly as a way of making friends in Manchester, but to also to create what I felt was missing from the industry at the time.
Do you see this becoming a career or part of your career?
It already is - I work in social media and previously worked in SEO & content management. I've set my blog up as a small business too.
What do you hope to achieve for your content in 2018 and what’s your big-picture goal?
I'm hoping to work on more theory-based content and delving deeper into fitness myths (I've just qualified as a PT) and I'll also be creating an ebook.
What is your favourite social media channel & why?
Instagram! I'm all about the visual connection.
What is your favourite tool or app that helps in your content creation?
Who is your blogging/vlogging/content inspiration and why?
I love The Lean Machines - they're authentic and knowledgeable, but also create fun content, and are always pushing the boundaries and setting new trends.
What do you like to do on weekends? Where can we find you hanging out?
At my CrossFit box, or out hiking in the hills.
If you could go anywhere in the world or experience any one thing, what would it be?
I'm desperate to go to Bali, but also Western Australia and Western Canada. Just give me wide open spaces and nature!
What're your tips for staying motivated and/or organised in your work?
I don't think it's a case of motivation - it's more like discipline. Sometimes I don't want to sit glued to my laptop on a Sunday night, but once I make myself do it, I enjoy it so much.
What is the one piece of advice you’d give other content creators & aspiring bloggers/vloggers?
Try to answer questions with your content or write about relatable situations. It's fine covering personal things sometimes, but most people are seeking out content that helps them in some way.
Fun/Random fact about you (go on, surprise us!):
I worked with animals as a groom and a veterinary nurse until I was 23, and was responsible for anaesthetising an 8ft boa constrictor!
