How long have you been creating content?
I'm extremely new to blogging but have been content creating for well over a year now.
Why did you decide to start your blog?
I decided to add a blog to my business website as my social media pages have started to have a more personal feel to run alongside my business and I am asked a lot of questions via Instagram stories and so on regarding my lifestyle, where certain items are from and my routines for skincare etc, I figured adding a blog would be a good idea to discuss things further with my followers and hopefully pass on some information to them they find both useful and fun to read.
Do you see this becoming a career or part of your career?
Although my blog is in its early stages I feel this will become an integral part of my business and website as I move forward with building my brand.
What do you hope to achieve for your content in 2018 and what’s your big-picture goal?
In 2018 I hope to build my content interaction and I would like to build contacts, friendships and content which my followers genuinely relate to. With my blog in its early stages, I would like the build readership and learn more information on how to do so whilst building my business and reaching a larger audience. The bigger picture is to tie all parts together, social media, blog, website into my own brand and to build a hub where females can find advice, inspiration and for it to be more than just a shopping experience.
What is your favourite social media channel & why?
My favourite social media platform is Instagram and while changes have made it harder for content to be seen, I have managed to build my own business on this platform, give up the day job as they say and become my own boss, which was a goal of mine. I've always loved looking through photographs and Instagram feels like one big photograph album from all over the world, which I think is wonderful even if its easy to fall down the "insta rabbit hole" and lose half an hour of your life, I'm also loving how people are starting to show the "real life" behind the perfect "insta" reality so its a good mix of both.
What is your favourite tool or app that helps in your content creation?
I would have to say my favourite tool is my iPhone 7plus, I don't own any fancy camera's although I do have my eye on one, the camera on my phone has served me well.
Who is your blogging/vlogging/content inspiration and why?
There is so much inspiration out there I could list lots but to name one I do really like Rebecca from @rvk_loves on Instagram she just seems to be able to capture the perfect lighting in every photo, writes what seems effortless and has serious kitchen/garden goals.
What do you like to do on weekends? Where can we find you hanging out?
As a mum of two weekends are spent with family and friends, we all have busy weeks with work, school, clubs and activities so on a weekend you'll find us making the most of each others company with family days out to our favourite places or visiting somewhere new. Depending on how we feel this could be anything from long walks in the countryside with a picnic, a trip to the local cinema to see the latest blockbuster or just out for breakfast and popping to see grandparents.
If you could go anywhere in the world or experience any one thing, what would it be?
There are so many places I'd love to visit it would really depend on how I was feeling, Hogwarts would be top of the list if I could.
What're your tips for staying motivated and/or organised in your work?
A good daily planner, to do lists and keeping things fresh, new goals and ideas excite me and keep me motivated. I need lists to keep me on track and I plan my day in my planner so I know exactly what I should be doing as my mind can wander.
What is the one piece of advice you’d give other content creators & aspiring bloggers/vloggers?
Patience and be yourself. Patience is key, things very rarely happen overnight and always be yourself you'll never be everyone's cup of tea and that's fine but there's only one you so just be yourself and go for it, what's the worst that could happen?
Fun/Random fact about you (go on, surprise us!):
I make a mean spicy chutney and sloe gin perfect at Christmas time, oh and I can write my name with my feet don't ask.
