Camera: Day to day often just the camera on my iPhone but for filming and better quality photographs I've got a Canon EOS 600D
Favourite Tool: Canva. Whether I'm creating an image for social media to promote one of my PR and marketing events or creating graphics for one of my websites, it's so easy to create professional looking images. I pay for the upgraded version which means I can upload all my brand colours and fonts straight into Canva and it's great as it has lots of ready-made templates, meaning you don't have to spend loads of time checking what the best dimensions are for different platforms. I've also got the app on my phone so I can create graphics while I'm on the move.
"It needs to be really informative or inspiring"
Top tip for other content creators?
When I'm creating content for my own business and channels, I usually want it to do a couple of things.
Firstly - and most importantly - I want it to offer loads of value to the person reading, listening or watching. It needs to be really informative or inspiring, containing some key takeaway points that my audience can use for their own business or blog. There's so much content out there, you need to create something that your audience is going to love as this will help you to build a loyal following.
Secondly, I'm a bit of a geek and love SEO (search engine optimisation), so I always try to make sure that I'm optimising all my content for search engines. It's an ongoing job and the best approach is updating all the time. But it's so satisfying seeing your content perform well on search engines and generate lots of organic traffic. Some SEO is quite technical, but it's definitely worth researching how your website should perform, as well as some tips and tricks for helping your content to rank on search engines.
