How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging for nearly a year.
Why did you decide to start your blog?
I was about to take voluntary redundancy at the BBC a year ago and I wanted to start a career in 'food'. Food blogging seemed like a good place to start.
What do you hope to achieve for your blog in 2017?
I want to get more personal. I've found the more I share of myself and my aspirations, obstacles, fears, weaknesses the more engagement I get back from readers. And I love sharing my journey - I feel like I can empower others by opening up.
And I also want to be taking magazine worthy photos by the end of the the year.
What is your favourite social media channel & why?
Instagram - it's the best channel for escapism - looking at beautiful photos that other people have created really inspires me, it's definitely the most dreamy social media!
Who is your blogging inspiration?
I Like Tweet is a current favourite. Clare is a local girl and her images are beautiful, she has great style and she has a lovely warm honest voice on her blog.
What is the one piece of advice you’d give other bloggers & aspiring bloggers?
Collaborate with other creatives. I recently did a guest blog for fellow WeBlogger ProperFoodie.com and Debbie did a guest post for me. It has really breathed new life and energy into my blog. Blogging can be lonely and it's easy to get stuck in a rut, repeatedly dishing out the same tired formats. But collaborating can give you a refresh. I'm also trying to persuade my boyfriend to do a guest blog - I think that would be fun!
Fun/Random fact about you:
I've bungee jumped and sky dived in New Zealand.
